A workshop to set your summer a-glow, with a natural palette inspired by some of the earth’s most vibrant summer colors: entrancing turquoise water, deep magenta sunsets, and sun-saturated golden blooms.

Join Erin of Berbo Studio & Lori of Sew Small for another backyard gathering, this time working with garden fresh dyes in a rainbow of natural colors on all handmade, decadent yet durable silk goods.

You’ll have the full spectrum of color at your fingertips:

• Turquoise-blue from indigo 🦋

• Jewel pink from cochineal 🌺

• Sunny yellow from marigold 🌞

• & all the purples, oranges, and greens in between (possible with color layering) 🌈

Lori will share an instantly gratifying technique for dyeing with fresh indigo leaves (grown in her garden!), while Erin will brew cochineal and marigold dye pots brimming with potent color for us to work with. 

You’ll dye a handmade silk bento bag—sewn by Lori, a fifth generation seamstress—and scarf, with luxuriant oversized silk scrunchies and sweet silk/hemp pouches available on hand for a la carte dyeing.
