The longer, warmer days of summer mean forests and gardens alike are filled with flowers—learn to translate their shapes and colors with the natural dyeing technique of eco-printing. 

We’ll gather at Plant Material’s Altadena location, enjoy an edible flower-themed snack from Kitchen Sink, and create vibrant, lasting prints of local flowers and plants utilizing a pair of cotton sock as our canvas.

With this workshop you’ll add a new layer to the ways you know and engage with plants and place, leaving with knowledge and inspiration to continue creating eco-prints with the natural color living all around us, changing with every season. (You’ll also leave with a uniquely you-made pair of botanically printed socks!)

Ages 12+ and all levels of dyeing experience (beginner to perpetual experimenter) welcome. Hope to see you there on Sunday, June 30, 11am-1pm.
