Simply look up to see the palette of the indigo vat—one or two dips for sky blue, three or four or more to reach midnight blue, the color of a winter sky lit by the full moon. 🌚

Join me for Blue Magic, a day of drop-in dyeing at Plant Material Altadena, to create a set of textiles dyed with the ethereal blue. Come any time between 10am and 1pm on Saturday, November 23rd, and plan to spend up to an hour dyeing.

I’ll guide you in creating patterns using resist dye techniques on four cotton squares, which can function as a set of fabric gift wrap (furoshiki), cloth napkins, or bandanas—ideal for holiday gifting. Just added: dye a table runner for your holiday table, or as a gift for a loved one.
